Ranunculus

Ranunculus is a genus of about 600 species of plants in the Ranunculaceae. In Late Latin Ranunculus means 'little frog' probably as many are found close to water. Ranunculus are also often referred to as Buttercups. They are a perennial plant with a tuberous root. We import Italian Ranunculus from December through April. Dutch Aazur Ranunculus is available in the spring. Ranunculus are long lasting as a cut flower.

Aazur: Dutch grown with good size blooms. Available longer than the Italian varieties.

Elegance: Smaller multi-petaled bloom available in several colours.

Cloni: Larger multi-petaled bloom available in several colours, including the much in demand Hanoi for weddings.

Cloni Pon Pon: Larger multi-petaled and multi-coloured ruffled bloom available in several colours.
